A great plastic ocean video

This is just a quick little video about the  plastic ocean. I did not make this video and did not help in any of it. This might be a bit scary for little kids so I would recommend a parent watch this first. I would definitely recommend and would rate this 10/10 this has to be one of the best videos I have ever seen on this topic.

Water pollution

Hi my name is Lily. Yesterday I watched a video by the Water Brothers about the plastic ocean and that made me think, why is no one doing anything about this? Why haven't I ever heard of this issue? And I decided that I need to do something about this. I need to raise awareness about this issue. For example: Today I was in Walmart and the lady tried to give me 3 bags for only a couple of items and those bags would have just ended up in storm drains or the garbage and that is exactly not what we want. The problem with our oceans is that in two spots in the Pacific ocean there is a garbage dump that is twice the size of Texas! The reason the garbage collects there is because of the way the water travels in the North Pacific Ocean the water travels clock wise and counter clock wise in the South Pacific ocean. Now image how big Texas is. Now imagine twice the size of Texas in four different places! And what is even more scary is that is only the plastic that float. As you continue to watch the video it shows how not only is there huge garbage dumps in these four places there are also two more in the Atlantic Ocean and one in the Indian Ocean. These rotations are called gyres. In total there are 5 gyres in the whole world. A gyre is another word for vortex or spiral. These gyres that up about 40% of the Oceans and about 20% in the whole world. I don't know how many views this page will get but my goal is to raise awareness about the issue and stop using so much plastic. I would like to thank everyone for taking the time to read this and watch the video. Can you guys help reach my goal of everyone knowing about this issue? If you have a moment with a friend, co worker, family or absolutely anyone definitely tell them!
